We are seeking an experienced Finance and Accounting Manager to support the integration of a group of companies in the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region (Australia, China, Taiwan, Thailand, Japan, South Korea, Vietnam). The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the finance and accounting aspects of the integration process, ensuring alignment of financial reporting, compliance, and systems between the acquired entities and Ramboll’s established accounting practises. This role requires strong M&A experience, the ability to handle multiple legal entities across various jurisdictions, and expertise in managing audit and tax requirements within the APAC region.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execution of Integration plan from F&A perspective:
- Represent F&A in integration process of new acquired company with presence APAC (Australia, China, Taiwan, Thailand, Japan, South Korea, Vietnam)
- Develop and execute a comprehensive finance integration plan for the newly acquired companies in the APAC region.
- Ensure alignment of financial policies, accounting standards, and reporting processeswith the parent company’s requirements.
- Lead the finance and accounting integration for mergers and acquisitions in the APAC region.
- Oversee the financial due diligence and post-acquisition integration of acquired entities, ensuring the smooth transition of financial processes and compliance.
- Audit and Tax Compliance:
- Manage audit across multiple APAC jurisdictions, ensuring adherence to local and international regulations.
- With Support from centralised tax team, Manage Tax compliance across multiple APAC jurisdictions, ensuring adherence to local and international regulations.
- Liaise with external auditors and tax advisors to ensure smooth audit processes and accurate tax filings for the acquired entities.
- Identify and address potential tax risks and develop strategies to optimize tax positions across the region.
- Assess and enhance internal controls across the acquired entities to mitigate financial and compliance risks.
- Financial Systems & Process Harmonization:
- Integrate and harmonize financial systems (ERP, accounting software) across the acquired entities, ensuring smooth data flow and reporting.
- Collaborate with internal ERP team to ensure seamless systems migrations and alignment with the company’s financial infrastructure.
- Management of key stakeholders
- Ensure clear communication with key stakeholders.
- Minimum, bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or a related field (Master’s degree orprofessional qualifications like CPA, CA, or ACCA is a plus).
- At least 8-10 years of experience in finance and accounting, with a focus on M&A, integrations, or transformation projects.
- Proven experience managing multiple legal entities in diverse jurisdictions, particularly in the APAC region.
- Strong knowledge of audit, tax, and compliance requirements across the APAC region, including experience managing local audits and tax filings.
- Deep understanding of international accounting standards (IFRS, GAAP) and local tax regulations.
- Excellent project management, organisational, and communication skills.
