Get to know more in this Q&A.

What do you work with?

The key focus for my work is digitalisation and how this can bring value to the business. This means, help our clients spot and understand how digitalisation can bring new opportunities and drive sustainable growth, while at the same time ensuring that the organisation can adapt and implement.

What made you want to join Ramboll Management Consulting?

Two main drivers in our society the coming years will be sustainability and digitalisation. Joining a company where we uniquely can approach, solve, and deliver solutions to this was one of the main reasons for me. But the tipping point was the human side – everyone I have met and talked to affirmed me that we share the same curiosity, belief, and values.

What is the most significant professional experience you have had so far?

After years of delivering various consulting projects, it became obvious to me that I needed to empower leaders and project members to create the solutions and surface their knowledge. Not just manage projects, but to  truly let everyone’s knowledge come into play from the beginning.

While managing a large transformation project at a global jewelry-company focusing on global expansion – I deliberately engaged both steering’s groups and leaders in choosing the path. So, instead of having a plan A and Plan B, the group had to create it themselves. My job was to facilitate and validate.

The preparation is by far more extensive, and the output less predictable, but engagement is so much higher, and execution afterwards is a bliss. This realization has really been one of my most significant moments.

Meet Lars Bo Lindberg, one of our recent additions to the Digital & Tehcnology team

What is the most exciting development within your field of work?

The coming years, we will see an increased digital pressure and some companies will flourish, where their key offerings and key decisions will shift from being made on instinct to increasingly be made on information. This means that IT will assist the ones who dare to be both smarter and act faster than their competitors. In some ways, we will all be challenged on how we work with this and what opportunities will come along.

How are you planning on bringing this to our clients?

The opportunity Ramboll has of coupling sustainability and digitalisation into solutions is unique. By intelligently using digital and data in our sustainability execution, we can help our clients drive digitalisation into areas of their organisation, where we today rely on intuition and experience instead of data and smarter decisions.

Ramboll has a strong track record within this area, and my plan is to use this to show clients how it has been done, rather than to tell them how it could be done.

How do you define the higher purpose of what you do?

To me, taking the small changes into greater achievements brings satisfaction, especially if I can show that it has a sustainable impact in the long run – together with great people. Colleagues and clients.

What (or who) is your best source of inspiration?

Nothing beats a good physical bookstore. I cannot leave without several titles, mainly professional books. But the real inspiration comes when I get to discuss this new knowledge with others - especially if they have inspiration from other sources that challenge my perception.

At my desk I always have…?

I love skiing, so my notebook and my virtual desk are both plastered with skiing memories. Nothing wrong with a little daydreaming.

If I had the skills, I would love to be…?

A professional athlete. I have always been hooked on sports, and as a teenager I was keen on turning pro in any sport I tried. It didn’t matter whether it was swimming, running, tennis or basketball.
