Lis Nelis has 20 years of biodiversity, environmental science, and project management experience, with particular expertise in analysis of the effects of anthropogenic disturbances on ecosystems. She applies her expertise in nature-based solutions, natural capital assessments, remediation, analysis for sensitive species, ecosystem services, sustainability planning and monitoring, International Finance Corporation (IFC) Performance Standards and Equator Principals biodiversity due diligence, and restoration of natural systems. Lis is also helping clients prepare for the Taskforce on Nature-related Financial Disclosures (TNFD) and the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD). Lis has worked on disturbances from chemical and oil spills, invasive species, grazing, erosion, and climate change. She is experienced in planning studies for restoration, management, conservation, and monitoring. She is also accomplished at integrating field data into mathematical models to predict long-term ecosystem outcomes. She uses her extensive analytical and programming skills to characterize, analyze, and model large data sets to support her clients. Lis has worked in many areas of the United States, in Kenya, and in several countries in Latin America.
