Rao Ajjarapu has more than 20 years of experience conducting and directing national and international Phase I environmental site assessments and comprehensive environmental compliance audits, implementing environmental management systems and conducting environmental assessments under NEPA. He also has extensive experience with environmental litigation, assessment and remediation of environmental media and chemical process plant operation. Rao has provided environmental regulatory compliance support, including air, wastewater and stormwater permitting; employee training with respect to environmental and health and safety matters and community right-to-know reporting; and prepared a variety of regulatory plans and procedures. Rao provides consulting advice to corporate, private equity, venture capital and legal clients across a variety of industrial, commercial, educational and healthcare sectors. He is a core member of Ramboll’s due diligence working group and is tasked with developing and implementing standardized work protocols, reports and auditor training. Rao has earned an MS in environmental engineering and a BS in chemical engineering.
