Paul Kerns has more than 10 years of experience in international and domestic consulting in the areas of motor vehicle and engine equipment emission regulations, compliance and testing requirements. Paul has assisted original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), importers and distributors to secure USEPA Certificates of Conformity and California Air Resources Board (ARB)’s executive orders for on-road motorcycles and off-road vehicles and engine equipment. He is also experienced in project development, assessment and costing to address motor vehicle safety compliance and requirements with the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE), Consumer Product Safety Act (CPSC), National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) and US Department of Transportation (USDOT). He has assisted numerous motor vehicle OEMs, importers and distributors to comply with the SAE, CPSC, NHTSA, US Forest Service (USFS) and USDOT safety requirements. Paul has intimate knowledge of Asian product sourcing—particularly with on-road motorcycles, off-road vehicles and engine equipment in China. Paul’s accomplishments in senior project management include business assessment and marketing development, from initial conception through implementation, and strategizing complex solutions.
