Alan Kao is a Principal in Ramboll’s Boston, Massachusetts office and Ramboll’s Global Director of Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) Services. Alan has more than 30 years of experience in environmental and ESG due diligence for mergers and acquisitions, compliance auditing, and strategic regulatory compliance assistance. He works with financial, legal, and corporate clients to help them understand ESG risks and opportunities in M&A transactions. He assists companies with identifying priority ESG topics, evaluating the competitive landscape through benchmarking studies, setting targets that align with the companies’ ambitions, and defining implementation roadmaps and communication strategies to achieve their ESG objectives.
