Trefor Hillas has over 10 years of water industry experience, mainly in infrastructure engineering, flood risk and drainage. He has acted as technical lead on a wide range of flood risk projects including pre-feasibility flood and drainage studies, hydraulic modelling and options appraisal as well as providing flood risk assessments for large regional transport infrastructure projects across the north of England. He also has experience of river engineering, scour protection of bridge structures and optioneering/design of flood alleviation schemes. Trefor also has experience of all aspects of urban water management; encompassing initial due-diligence and site constraints mapping, drainage and foul water strategies, detailed design of drainage systems, and operational management of waste water systems, inspection and remediation. He also has specialist knowledge in SuDS design and site masterplanning with use of blue-green corridors. He has also undertaken infrastructure delivery planning, services and utility protection and design, water ES chapters, water quality assessment and groundwater impact assessment. Trefor has an MSc in Environmental Water Management, an MPhil research degree in Water Engineering and a BSc in Geology.
