David has over 13 years’ experience within the contaminated land sector providing specialist consultancy support to clients in conjunction with land portfolio due diligence, property transactions, remediation and proposed site redevelopments throughout Europe, Asia and the Middle East. He is experienced in the undertaking of various forms of soil, groundwater and land gas assessment and heads the Ramboll Environment & HealthUK quantitative risk assessment specialist team. He has detailed experience in the design and supervision of varying remediation schemes from traditional ‘dig and dump’ to in situ chemical injection and longer term monitored natural attenuation and has undertaken hazardous substances surveys as part of pre-demolition survey/inherited liability assessments. David has advised clients on potential asbestos liability issues since 2006, including support and coordination of building management plans, assessment of land impacted with asbestos materials and subsequent design of appropriate remediation schemes to mitigate ongoing liabilities and facilitate proposed redevelopment. David is a Chartered Environmentalist and holds a PGD/MSc in Environmental Monitoring and Assessment from Coventry University and a BSc (Hons) in Ecology from the University of Leeds
