Jeff Margolin has more than 20 years of experience in environmental consulting, with particular expertise in human health and ecological risk assessment, site investigation/remediation and risk management and communication. He has directed projects for a variety of state Superfund, RCRA and CERCLA sites throughout the US, and has experience at sites impacted by a range of organic and inorganic constituents, including high- and low-level radionuclides and transuranic (TRU) constituents. Jeff also has experience working with USEPA on programmatic issues related to risk assessment. His work in this capacity focused on establishing and implementing a nationwide system for QA procedures for Superfund risk assessments and the specification of methodologies for calculating risk-based soil cleanup concentrations at Superfund sites (the results of which were adopted by the USEPA and are included in Part B of the "Risk Assessment Guidance for Superfund" document). In addition, he has provided litigation support and acted in both fact and expert witness roles on a range of matters related to exposure analysis, risk assessment and contaminant fate and transport.
