How we support
Companies and societies around the world are struggling to understand which data they can rely on to develop contingency plans and keep business running. The packaging manufacturer has high speed production plants around the world that operate all year round and the demand for their packaging has only increased during the COVID-19 lock-down.
Ramboll’s Health Science experts completed a rapid literature review of available information and guidance on how workers could potentially be exposed to COVID-19. The newest data was then applied to this client’s specific manufacturing processes. This included information relating to the behaviour of the virus in air, its persistence on different surfaces, use of face covering and disinfection options.
The information was applied by the manufacturer to create guidelines for workers to protect against transmission of the virus, and actions to take if a worker fell ill, all of which has been crucial for ensuring the ongoing operation of the manufacturing facilities.
