How we support
The property management company supports thousands of housing units across the United States. The client needed support in protecting their employees who must enter housing units to perform emergency repairs during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Ramboll’s Health Science experts developed two different types of emergency entry protocols. One procedure covers entry of a housing with no confirmed or expected cases of COVID-19, and another more extensive protocol to account for cases where someone in the housing is in quarantine or is known to be a carrier of the virus. Our Health Science experts also developed protocol training materials for employees and delivered online training sessions for the maintenance staff across the US. The online training has been very well received among employees, and we are now planning more training sessions.
A common challenge during COVID-19 is the limited supply of personal protective equipment (PPE). Our experts were able to help source equipment and optimize the distribution of safety equipment to ensure a needs-based geographical distribution. We are now also helping in the development of local procedures for re-opening to identify the next steps and challenges as local and regional quarantines begin to be eased.
