The company needed to ensure that workers self-isolating but not infected with COVID-19 could safely return to work, while those infected but asymptomatic stay home. Ramboll’s global team of scientists, regulatory specialists and buildings engineers helped the client take on this challenge in multiple countries at the same time. We assessed options for employee testing to inform the options for setting up laboratory facilities. Due to different COVID-19 regulations around the world, this involved identifying the appropriate permits, equipment and setup of labs in each country.
By reviewing the feasibility of test options, and assessing the regulatory and practical requirements for testing, the client now has a consistent development framework to protect their employees and their return to work.
