Geert has more than 25 years’ experience advising private companies on environment, health and safety (EHS) matters. His private-sector clients span a broad range of industries including oil and gas, chemical, pharmaceutical, manufacturing, power, retail and food and beverage. He has conducted several hundred environmental assessments and due diligence reviews for multinational clients. His key areas of expertise are in strategic environmental assessments, EHS auditing (compliance and due diligence), environmental financial risk assessment (probabilistic modelling), contaminated land characterisation, soil and groundwater remediation and feasibility assessment. Currently, Geert leads Ramboll'sEnvironment & Health Benelux business unit, which includes offices in Belgium (Oudenaarde and Liege) and the Netherlands (Delft). He holds an MSc in Civil Engineering and is a registered professional expert for environmental impact assessment (EIA), an expert external environmental coordinator in Flanders, and a registered soil and groundwork remediation expert in Flanders, Brussels and Wallonia.
