Ramboll’s new Middle East leadership team welcomes Country Market Director

Global architecture, engineering, and consultancy company Ramboll is delighted to announce that it has established a new, energised Middle East leadership team, to be led by John Wyles, who takes on the role of Country Market Director, Buildings.  The leadership team is focused on creating sustainable change for our clients in the Middle East.

The Buildings market in the Middle East is transitioning towards more sustainable low carbon and net zero solutions. John has a background from civil engineering and brings local experience combined with leading roles on major energy transition projects.

Søren Brøndum, Ramboll’s Global Managing Director for Buildings describes Mr Wyles, who has spent the past almost 25 years with Ramboll, as a “strong and steady pair of hands who will lead our Middle East buildings business as it continues to provide innovative and sustainable designs for our clients”.

“John has the advantage of having worked in the Middle East for more than three decades and knows the region well but has also worked on Ramboll’s projects in Denmark and in the United Kingdom, so he brings both international technical knowledge with local understanding," Mr Brøndum says.

"He joins a new leadership team with extensive experience in managing regional businesses, providing our people with guidance and support as they work across some of the region’s most complex engineering projects.”

Mr Wyles has more than 35 years of experience in the engineering sector in both the Middle East and Europe across the buildings, transport and energy markets, including as the former Country Manager for Abu Dhabi and Director for major projects in the Middle East. For the past three years, John has been based in Denmark where he has worked in the renewable energy sector.

“I am proud to be part of the team to lead our talented colleagues in the Middle East and work alongside our clients as they minimise their environmental footprints through sustainable design. We have been operating in the Middle East for over a decade and it is exciting to do our part and work with our clients to contribute to the region’s ambition to pivot away from a fossil-fuel led economy. I’m excited by this team, our strategy, our clients and what we are going to achieve together."
