Dr. Spaeth has extensive expertise in neuro-toxicology, with a focus on psychomotor impairments caused by both prescription and recreational drugs, such as alcohol, cocaine, THC, opiates, methamphetamines, anti-depressants, and anti-anxiety drugs. He thoroughly explains the molecular mechanisms of drug action and their correlation to potential impairments, particularly in activities like driving. Furthermore, he possesses a wealth of experience in litigation and claims involving the interaction of multiple drugs on causation, including alcohol-related "DRAM" shop cases.

Previously, as a cosmetic toxicologist at a prominent cosmetic company, Dr. Spaeth gained practical experience in hazard assessments, dose and exposure assessments, risk assessments and management, and effectively communicating these findings to stakeholders across all business units, especially in relation to cosmetic skincare and consumer products. He has authored numerous safety assessments for cosmetic ingredients in products currently available in the market, and has testified multiple times as a cosmetic toxicologist.

Dr. Spaeth's background includes many years of laboratory research and comprehensive training in toxicology, neuroscience, genetics, molecular and cellular biology, molecular mechanisms of cellular toxicity, and conserved pathways of intracellular trafficking.

Dr. Spaeth has conducted pioneering neuroscience and toxicological research and served as an adjunct professor of Neuroscience and a hedge fund market analyst of early-stage pharmaceutical companies. With over 25 years of experience in toxicology, neuroscience, genetics, and molecular biology, he has multiple publications in peer-reviewed journals and has received grants from esteemed organizations such as the US National Institute of Health and the National Institute of Drug Abuse (NIDA).
