Ramboll apprentice Jo Yang
My name is Jo. After 12 years as a stay-at-home mum, I joined Ramboll as a Digital Engineering Technician Apprentice last September.
General assumptions tend to be that apprenticeship are only open to school leavers or those under 25, but that’s not the case. There is no age limit for apprenticeship - so long as you have set clear goals in what to achieve. As a mature apprentice, my determination and dedication are unwavering.
The most appealing thing for me about Ramboll is the people. What I have found is that the company culture promotes strong collaboration and a welcoming environment, where you will always be treated like family. Regardless of seniority, all colleagues are equally supportive, and help is always available. An example of this is the continuous support I received from our senior management team who effortlessly provide me opportunities for development and learning.
In addition, as a parent, Ramboll’s work-life balance approach has given me sufficient flexibility to look after my family, whilst pursuing my new career.
