Investing in the change we want to see
Our planet faces major challenges related to climate, biodiversity, resource use, and rapid urbanisation. Ramboll’s strategy for 2022-2025, which is called The Partner for Sustainable Change, aims to address these challenges by aligning our portfolio and operations with four Unifying Sustainability Themes: 1) decarbonise for net zero; 2) resilient societies and liveability; 3) resource management and circular economy; and 4) biodiversity and ecosystems.
These themes help define where we invest, and the clients and projects we prioritise. We aim to embed sustainability across our clients’ and stakeholders’ value chains, enabling them to better navigate their transitions towards more sustainable business models and goals.
With our strategy, we put sustainability into the core of our projects and company operations, and work to become the leader in the renewable energy transition in the professional services industry.
The strategy is aligned with our company purpose and legacy to create sustainable societies where people and nature flourish, and expresses the value we generate for clients, end users, and society, and for how we do business.

Green energy transition
In the green energy transition, we focus our deep technical expertise into renewables and emerging technologies such as green hydrogen, Power-to-X and carbon capture and storage. We will exit oil and gas exploration before the end of 2025.

Targeted acquisitions
Invest up to DKK 2.5 billion into targeted acquisitions to further strengthen our expertise.

Continue investing in innovation and digitalisation, helping develop a strong position in scalable technology-enabled consultancy and partnering to scale innovation.

Upskilling bright minds
To fulfil or strategic aims we will build capacity of our more than 17,500 employees to guide clients on sustainability, as well as attracting talent that matches our aspiration for a sustainability driven transformation. In 2022 we launched the Sustainability Learning Universe, an e-learning initiative available to all employees, to expand their skillsets and strengthen sustainability services to clients.
At the same time, we continue to build an organisation and workplace that is inclusive, provides a sense of belonging to employees, and reflects our commitment to society.
