Ramboll at Climate Week NYC 2023: Meet us there!

Climate Week NYC 2023 (17-24 September) is a major milestone event in the lead-up to COP28 and the US’ largest annual gathering focused on climate, aligned with the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA).

At Climate Week, we will be meeting with policymakers, clients, experts and professionals within resilience and decarbonisation. We will share our experience and best practices at these highlighted events.

About: ConcreteZero is a global market initiative by Climate Group driven by the dual ambition to halve carbon emissions by 2030 and limit the global temperature rise to 1.5C. Focusing on scope 3 emissions and demystifying the complexities within concrete supply chain supply chain, Climate Group are developing best practice on net-zero concrete implementation . Explore how ConcreteZero members, including Ramboll, are developing pioneering projects with ConcreteZero targets and optimising available solutions.

About: This high-level event will bring together thought leaders to discuss why businesses are moving away from a narrow focus solely on reducing direct emissions towards a more holistic worldview where scope 3 emissions, social justice and biodiversity must be considered to avoid eroding skills, jobs, social cohesion, climate and environment. Cooperation between governments, private sector and civil society will determine the fate of our planet, as we face a critical window of opportunity to reduce greenhouse gas emissions whilst increasing biodiversity and paving the way towards a more sustainable and resilient planet.

About:The event invites the audience on a journey into a new era of creating, not only sustainable cities, but irresistible ones. You will learn how collaborative models can support the green transition and enhancement of quality of life for all species within cities. Highlights from the cross-European movement, New European Bauhaus, will illustrate examples of different ways and approaches of collaborating and how the partners of BLOX lift this agenda on an everyday basis.

About: In the run-up to COP28, and in support of the emerging Buildings Breakthrough, WBCSD is embarking on an ambitious initiative to identify which key actions need to be taken to shift the system as a whole along the value chain. This will be done through a series of three value chain workshops that will build on each other to identify critical barriers or system intervention points as well as the actions needed to overcome those barriers.

About: Together with City University of New York, City of Copenhagen and Technical University of Denmark Ramboll is co-organizing this high-level workshop to share examples of unique sister city and cross-sectoral collaborations that have helped to address urban climate resiliency challenges particularly as this relates to flooding from chronic and extreme storm events.
