Aarhus Vand, a highly innovative and internationally renowned public water utility serving the second-largest city in Denmark, recently tendered out 18 new framework agreements, all starting next year. Together with Krüger, a Denmark-based consultant, contractor and supplier of equipment, services and solutions, Ramboll recently won the agreement entitled ‘detailed planning, wastewater’ which covers climate adaptation, sewer separation, life extension of assets and major pipeline rerouting projects.
By winning this agreement, Ramboll and Krüger are joining the partnering setup ’Water Partner 2.0’ created by Aarhus Vand to drive sustainable innovation through collaboration and co-creation. The agreement and partnership will take effect by the 1st of January 2022.
“The collaboration culture in Water Partner 2.0 is reflecting a strong wish of succeeding together. Aarhus Vand is therefore happy to get Ramboll and Krüger on board, and we look forward to kick-off the collaboration in the new year,” says Ane Mølgaard Rasmussen, project manager, Plan & Project, Aarhus Vand.
“Aarhus Vand is one of the most visionary water companies worldwide, and we share their ambition of addressing the entire water cycle and developing sustainable solutions through close partnerships. So, we are very happy and proud of winning this agreement, and we look forward to a fruitful collaboration,” says Annette Raben, Director, Ramboll Water in Denmark.
“We are very happy and proud that Aarhus Vand believes in us to help them reach their vision. We are especially looking forward to setting new standards for implementing the Sustainable Development Goals in projects supporting the entire water cycle,” says Rune Christensen, Head of Department, Drainage, Krüger.
In the tender evaluation Ramboll and Krüger received high scores on the two parameters ‘united organization and competence’ and ‘development activities’. These parameters are important as Aarhus Water wants to establish strong teams with skilled consultants that have solid experience from similar assignments and also wants to work with consultancies that truly prioritize innovation and digitalization.
Moreover, it was important for Aarhus Vand to engage with consultancies that have an international mindset.
