Change to the Group Executive Board
Chief Operating Officer in the Ramboll Group Mathew Riley has decided to leave the company for personal reasons.
Mathew joined Ramboll in 2016 as Managing Director for Ramboll in the UK and in 2021 he became Chief Operating Officer and member of the Group Executive Board with responsibility for Ramboll’s geographical business units in the Nordics, UK and Germany.
“During his six years with Ramboll Mathew has had a big impact on the company. As our Managing Director for Ramboll in the UK, he managed to significantly improve our financial performance and competitive position in the UK market. As a member of the Group Executive Board Mathew has been a valued colleague due to his clear views and ability to drive performance in line with strategy. On behalf of the Group Executive Board, I would like to thank Mathew for his great contribution, and I wish him the very best for the future.”, says Group CEO Jens-Peter Saul.
Mathew Riley says, “Ramboll is without doubt the best company I have worked for. Our culture, values and purpose-driven outlook all made for a perfect personal fit. Being on the Group Executive Board has been an exciting journey, however a change in my personal circumstances has made it necessary for me to spend more time with my family.”
Mathew’s Riley’s decision to leave means that operational and functional responsibilities in the GEB are redistributed with immediate effect.
Going forward Chief Operating Officer Michael Simmelsgaard will be responsible for Energy, Environment & Health, Water and Management Consulting as well Americas and Germany.
Chief Operating Officer Peter Heymann Andersen will be responsible for Buildings, Transport, Architecture & Landscape as well as Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Finland, UK and Asia Pacific.
