We are proud that our recently inaugurated campus-project has won the German Sustainability Award. The 62.500 square-meter site comprises a 13,500 square-meter new Head Quarter building for the organic food brand Alnatura. Adjacent to the building is a rainwater reservoir, that can be utilized for firefighting. This reservoir is part of a rainwater management system which is integrated in the campus and gardens, surrounding the new Head Quarter. Rainwater is being collected, cleansed and re-used in the building or for applied for watering plants.
The founder of Alnatura, Goetz Rehn, summarized his holistic philosophy for his company into following words: “Meaningful for man and earth”. This thought has become an integrated and visible foundation of the new headquarter. Together with our planning partners and architects haascookzemmrich, we have embedded this philosophy every step of the planning process.
We want to congratulate all our partners that have worked on this project and are proud that our efforts have merited the honour of being the winning project of the German Sustainability Award in 2020.
