Maija Jokela appointed as Managing Director of Ramboll Finland

Maija Jokela, M.Sc. (Engineering), has been appointed to be Ramboll's Managing Director in Finland as of September 1. She replaces Kari Onniselkä who is taking on a new position outside Ramboll. Maija will report to Group Chief Operating Officer Mathew Riley.

Commenting on the appointment, Group CEO Jens-Peter Saul said, ─ Finland is a top performer within Ramboll. Maija’s thorough understanding of the project management business, her determination and good human touch will make her an excellent leader to further develop our business and position as the leading sustainable society consult in Finland.

Maija makes the move to Ramboll from Sweco where she has served as the managing director for the company’s project management business in Finland since 2014. During her lifelong career in construction and engineering business, she has also worked as a project director leading large scale projects and expert teams.

Maija is a recognised industry leader with a background of several positions of trusts in engineering and construction sector. She currently holds a position as Vice Chairman of the board in the Finnish Association of Consulting Companies. At the end of April 2021, the Finnish Association of Civil Engineers chose Maija as the Construction Engineer of the year.
