Ramboll rises to 7th in Environment Analyst’s top global environmental consultancy ranking
Global market intelligence organization Environment Analyst has ranked Ramboll seventh in its list of the top 23 environmental firms around the globe. On a regional level, Ramboll was ranked second in Western Europe, and second in both the climate change and energy service area, and the financial and professional services client sector.
The Global Environment Consulting Strategies & Market Assessment report provides an in-depth assessment of the global environmental consulting operations, business models and strategies of the 23 largest, most geographically diverse and globally ambitious companies in the industry. The rankings are based on global market share percentages. The report includes rigorous analysis of financial performance of the 23 firms and addresses three different business models (large-scale integrated services, multidisciplinary hybrid and environmental specialist). According to the report’s sector forecast, the fastest-growing major discipline in the EC market is impact assessment, which saw a 23% increase in 2018, making it the third largest service area overall, behind contaminated site assessment and water and waste management. Looking into the future, EA reports that global EC sector is expected to grow by 23%, or an average of 4.1% per annum to 2023. Growth in climate change and energy services is expected to accelerate in response to the energy transition and more ambitious national greenhouse gas emissions reduction targets. “Our continued strong performance in the EA ranking shows the power of our integrated, multidisciplinary platform,” E&H Managing Director, Jesper Dalsgaard says. “Even more encouraging is EA’s outlook for growth in Impact Assessment and addressing challenges related to sustainability, two of our strategic focus areas in E&H.”
