The project RISA aims at developing climate adaptation responses for urban water to avoid flooding of basements, streets and properties as well as water pollution from combined sewer overflows and street run-offs.
The project focuses on the identification of technological requirements and the creation of conditions that enable a forward-looking and sustainable rainwater management. The main objective is to maintain drainage while providing increased projection against surface flooding. Moreover, the project seeks to integrate water management measures into urban and regional planning, improving urban quality. Atelier Dreiseitl has assisted the RISA group in maximising cross-departmental collaboration, and created a strategic vision for implementation of Phase III which includes pilot projects, regulations and a structural plan.
This project was carried out by Atelier Dreiseitl, now member of the Ramboll Group.
