Ramboll has drawn up the traffic plan for the development of central Jyllinge and its surrounding residential areas. The plan will ensure that development opportunities are maintained and supported by favourable traffic connections and accessibility in the area.
Traffic plan focusing on town life and developmental opportunities
The town of Jyllinge has changed over the years from a small fishing village to a town with more than 10,000 inhabitants.
No overall traffic plan has previously been drawn up to support the town’s development.
With Ramboll’s traffic plan, a suggestion for an overall traffic structure for the area is available. The plan takes into consideration both the urban challenges and opportunities in the development programme, as well as the flow of traffic in the area which accommodates both car traffic and the town’s other users.
The plan is part of the agreed development programme and the ensuing action plan for the town. The result of the plan is a catalogue of suggested solutions for transport initiatives in the town, including estimated costs.
Ramboll’s material was used in a co-creation workshop which dealt with possibilities and potentials as well as in a proposal for an overall and comprehensive traffic plan.
The traffic plan and the implementation of the first measures have been adopted politically. Several measures in the development programme for the town remain to be implemented. This process will take place in an ongoing dialogue with the citizens.
