Restoring the streams of the Alling Valley in Jutland to their natural course will raise the water level across the entire 525 hectare area, thereby increasing the biological and recreational values of the Valley.
Ramboll prepared the detailed project and tender documents for the nature restoration of a 525 hectare area of the Alling Valley near Randers. The project includes raising the water level in the area by restoring the natural flow of the Alling and Skader streams, as well as stopping green crop-cutting practices. The project objectives are to maintain and increase the biological values in the project area and also improve the recreational possibilities.
The detailed planning includes the establishment of an integrated water supply and groundwater model for Alling Valley and the preparation of detailed information packets for all landowners in the area. Estimation of results is carried out in a combined MIKE 11 and MIKE SHE mathematical model - Ramboll also take responsibility for project management and supervision of works.
