The Maersk tower is an extension to Panum, the University of Copenhagen’s Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences. The building is designed by CF Møller Architects and contains state-of-the-art research and teaching facilities, a cantine for students and staff, and a conference centre with auditoriums and meeting rooms.
The lighting has been designed to enhance the story of the building and its architecture, while at the same time supporting the highly demanding research environment. The foyer, cantine and auditoriums are all illuminated with a warm and varying play of light promoting a more relaxed and informal atmosphere, while the lighting of the laboratories has been designed with regards to the highest visual ergonomic standards.
Ramboll Architectural Lighting Design have been involved in the project from concept design to implementation.
