Ramboll designed the façade lighting for the northern façade. The scope of lighting design services included concept development, energy calculations, mock-up development and detailed design. At time of completion, this was one of the largest projects in Scandinavia based solely on the LED technology.
Working on a 6.400 m2 façade area, it was important to meet demanding architectural, functional and economic demands. The client and architect wanted a fully integrated lighting installation in which the luminaires would stay concealed in the façade elements. Ramboll developed a point-fixation system which is an unconventional way to mount U-glass profiles. The visually dominant horizontal baring profiles were omitted. Thus, the façade appears lighter and more transparent.
