The Project concerns central parts of the Copenhagen Suburban Mass Transit lines between Copenhagen Central Station and Valby. In connection with the construction of the Køge Bugt line, the northbound track (5th main track) was lead all the way to the platform on Copenhagen Central Station, while the corresponding southbound track (6th main track) was not established.
The project comprises the establishment of the 6th main track, reconstruction of tracks at Depot East and rebuilding of switches and crossings at the 4th/6th main track including all signalling. Moreover the project includes renewal of the overhead catenary system on the 4 km section from Copenhagen Central to Valby and extension of two feeder stations and elaboration of programme phase report for a large rebuilding project in which the entire points zone in front of Copenhagen Central Station is rebuilt and renewed.
