The impressive facility is among the largest advanced wastewater treatment plants in the world, providing over 320 tons of dried biosolids daily that are beneficially reused by the community.

Investigating inactive landfills across New York State for PFAS and 1,4‐dioxane

Ramboll assisted NYSDEC to evaluate and prioritize over 1,750 solid waste sites statewide to determine potential impacts from PFAS and 1,4-dioxane, including groundwater sampling and analysis at over 100 inactive landfills.

Nørreport Traffic

This project consists of a detailed road and traffic management design, for a new traffic solution at Nørreport Station - including a new bus station.

PFAS source investigation, remediation and cost recovery

Ramboll developed the first PFAS stormwater criterion protective of groundwater, resulting in clean community drinking water, and helped our client save over $20 million and minimise liabilities.

M1 motorway widening (J25-28)

Involving the upgrade of the motorway network through widening of existing three lane carriageway to four lanes over a length of 25km, this Highways Agency Early Contractor Involvement (ECI) contract was the first where the target cost came in below scheme budget. It is also notable for being the first UK motorway widening scheme to be constructed using a moveable steel barrier traffic management system instead of a contra flow.

Sustainable urban draining system

The growth in the frequency and severity of extreme rainfall has significantly increased the risk of flooding from rivers and urban drainage systems of insufficient capacity. It is a huge investment to dig into the earth and expand the sewer systems in urban areas, so other measures may prove to be better and cheaper alternatives.

Woolston Eyes Wetlands creation

Breathing new life into Woolston Eyes nature reserve by developing 38 hectares of wetlands across two new sites.

Progress toward restoring the natural beauty and value of Onondaga Lake and surrounding habitats

A 25-year undertaking, the remediation and restoration of the Onondaga Lake Superfund Site is one of the largest and most complex remediation programs in the US.

Site 8 is the first major building of the Carlsberg city development complex in central Copenhagen. The complex is more than 100, 000 sq m and combines the teaching facilities of the UCC university with retail, office and residential uses.
