Shair

Shair is a cutting-edge air quality modeling platform developed by Ramboll with hind cast, real time and forecast capability that can incorporate numerous data streams including live traffic congestion data and known industrial emissions.

Air quality sensor networks are being deployed more than ever before to better understand and tackle this problem, but the volume and type of data produced can create barriers for fast and actionable interpretation. Shair provides a clear, full picture of air quality over an area, not just the discrete locations produced by sensor networks.
Shair adds value to sensor network data by uncovering emission sources and their contributions. The model is sensor-agnostic and can ingest information from any air quality monitor or local emissions inventory and near-realtime data can be integrated into Shair (e.g., sensor data, reference data, meteorology, traffic data, and other activity data) and data. Shair operates in the cloud to translate large and unwieldy quantities of air quality data into the information required by communities, industry and government.
Shair outputs summary datasets, maps, and visualizations through a custom interface that can be integrated into web applications or data management systems.
