Maria is running for biodiversity

:

Why does biodiversity matter to you?

“I’m a biodiversity task force leader in Sweden. We collaborate on a global scale across different sectors and mostly develop client proposals that have a meaningful biodiversity angle. But honestly, biodiversity is the basis for everything. It is the foundation of our life on earth and without ecosystem diversity we cannot implement sustainable and circular solutions.”

And why do you choose to work at Ramboll?

“I think it’s because it’s not greenwashing. Sustainability is really in the DNA of the company. And I have really good colleagues! That’s important too.”

Muaz is running for biodiversity

:

How does your work relate to sustainability?

“Really, there’s nothing we do that doesn’t somehow relate to sustainability. I work in the transport and infrastructure sector and everything we do impacts the environment. We can create really positive impact by making responsible and well-informed decisions.”

And why do you choose to work at Ramboll?

“Because of the people around me who want to make a change. I’m a very people-oriented person so it means everything to be around people who care. People who care that things are done right; that things are done well. I have also gotten to try so many different roles at Ramboll – that flexibility and variety means a lot to me.”

Lovisa is running for biodiversity

How does your work relate to biodiversity?

“Well, I don’t work directly with biodiversity. But I help people who do work with biodiversity. I work in sustainable transformations. It’s basically all about helping businesses and organisations become more sustainable in all aspects.”

And why do you choose to work at Ramboll?

“I really care about sustainability so working for a company that is committed to the cause and that can implement solutions on a large scale means a lot. I can create bigger change in my role at Ramboll than I could as an individual.”

How can you contribute to biodiversity in your own life?

Action 1

I will keep pockets of my garden wild. Wild gardens help pollinators, like butterflies, beetles, and bees mature and thrive because of the shelter and variety of food they can enjoy in these kinds of environments.

Tackle biodiversity loss with nature positive actions

:

Biodiversity loss affects everyone. Together we can improve how we manage our impacts on nature to meet new nature regulations and rising investor demands. Let’s turn the tide by seeing nature as a partner, rather than an infinite resource.

Let’s close the gap on biodiversity

Healthy ecosystems are our life source and loss of biodiversity has serious consequences. Currently, one million plant and animal species are threatened with extinction. By actively integrating nature-positive solutions, businesses can continue to flourish while protecting and restoring biodiversity.

To close the gap, we must leave nature in a better state than before as we shape tomorrow’s societies. We must design green spaces and create more room for nature in our cities to improve our health and the environment.
