Building a culture of EDI

Our employees are our core strength. They come from diverse backgrounds, which enhances our ability to innovate and to improve engagement and performance.

People are our core strength

Ramboll respects, embraces, and invites diversity in all its forms. We are focused on creating an inclusive culture where everyone can thrive. This aligns with our founding history, rooted in a clear vision for how a responsible company should act and behave.

We believe helping create sustainable societies where people and nature flourish can only be achieved if we successfully reflect the diversity of our societies, intentionally embed inclusive behaviours, and strive for equality for all.

:

Increase diversity, create opportunity

Leveraging our scale and position, we aim to increase the diversity of our own workforce and create positive opportunities for underrepresented groups in our industry. To deliver on this ambition, we are committed to the required sustained efforts and focus over time.

Improving equality, diversity, and inclusion

To build an inclusive culture, we use aspirational targets to frame our initiatives. The targets focus on people and processes, as well as on the professional industry services and societies we are a part of.

Our aspirational targets

  • :

Build an organisation of inclusion and belonging reflecting Ramboll’s commitment to society.

  • :

Achieve a more balanced organisation with a strong focus on gender representation. Our goal for gender representation is 40% women and 60% men by 2025.

  • :

Embed a strong focus on diversity and equality in our people-related processes to mitigate and challenge biases in decision-making.

Inclusive workplace

We provide on-going education for all employees on equality, diversity, and inclusion (EDI), and guide our leaders at all levels on EDI so they can be role models. Listening to our employee’s experiences, concerns, and advice is core to building a culture of inclusion.

Flexibility in a hybrid workplace

From the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, we have restructured the who, what, where, when, and how of working together at Ramboll. We offer hybrid workplace options where applicable and in line with local policies. Currently, nearly all our offices offer hybrid workplace options. For our hybrid workplace to be a space where diversity of thought is valued, we continue to strengthen our ability to collaborate by leveraging digital tools and technology at our disposal

Why we offer hybrid workplace options

:

To promote the comfort, happiness, and well-being of our employees.

To open the door to diverse talent, meaning we can attract the top talent not just locally, but globally.

To remove barriers related to physical accessibility, like commuting challenges.

To support employees with disabilities and make plans that work for their circumstances.
