Ramboll Greenland draws on the entire Ramboll Group's competences, and we are strongly represented in Greenland. Ramboll is a leading engineering, architecture and consultancy company. We are present in 35 countries and combine local experience with a global knowledgebase, constantly striving to achieve inspiring solutions that make a genuine difference to our clients, end-users, and society at large.

Ramboll's strong presence throughout the Arctic means that we can handle even the largest projects, because we can draw on resources from the surrounding countries such as Sweden, Norway and Finland. All in all, Ramboll has 400 employees in the Arctic region, and we are thereby the leading consultancy in the area.
Ramboll Greenland has offices in Nuuk, Sisimiut, Ilulissat and a project office in Tasiilaq.

We provide multi-disciplinary engineering, environment and management services and offer the full scope of the value chain, from idea phase and strategy development to execution of large-scale projects. We facilitate environmentally and socially responsible projects and we use our Ramboll heritage to build a bridge between projects, society, and regulators

Ramboll was founded in 1945 in Denmark and is today owned primarily by the Ramboll Foundation, whose primary objective is to promote the company’s continuance alongside the long-term development of the company, its employees and the communities it serves.

Carbon Capture and e-fuel production in Greenland

Greenland is blessed with plentiful resources available for the generation of hydro power. More plants could be established, but a key challenge in Greenland is that the potential sources of hydro power are located far from potential uses of the electricity. A new Ramboll study will assess if the production of e-fuel could be a way to put some of the country’s hydro power resources to new use and at the same time reduce Greenland’s CO2 footprint.
